The first 3D scanner offers all of its devices the ability to ensure automatic processing. With Artec Leo’s ability to do the most intuitive work, 3D scanning is as easy as capturing video. When you scan an object, you can simultaneously see a 3D copy built in real time on the Leon touch screen. Rotate the 3D model screens and check if you have received all areas scanned and then scanned areas were shaded.

80 frames per second 3D reconstruction makes the Artec Leo the fastest professional handheld 3D scanner. Artec Leo gives you full freedom in 3D scanning thanks to its built-in high-performance processor and battery. There is no need to be connected to a computer or power source while scanning, so you can hold the Leo scanner with a free-hand and walk around and scan an object without the constraints of wires. The battery is interchangeable so you can scan up to a day in the field.

Artec Leo incorporates state-of-the-art technology such as the NVIDIA® Jetson ™ platform, which is a scanner’s own internal computer, featuring a Quad-core ARM® Cortex®-A57 MPCore CPU and an NVIDIA Maxwell ™ 1 TFLOPS GPU with 256 NVIDIA® CUDA® Cores; built-in 9 DoF inertia system – accelerometer, gyro and compass – that makes the scanner understand its location and surroundings; and a two-in-one optical system that does the most accurate texture matching to the geometry.

The built-in battery, display and wireless take the Artec Leo scanner to the next level of handheld 3D scanning. For complete freedom of movement while scanning, video can be transferred to another device via Wi-Fi or Ethernet if you need an extra display and data can be downloaded at the touch of a button. Adding these features to a well-designed balanced and ergonomic device, 3D scanning with one hand is easy and comfortable and you have the next generation of professional scanners.

Applications

Because the user can capture large areas as well as fine details, the Artec Leo scanner can be used on a wide variety of objects, from small mechanical objects to human bodies, cars, boats or crime scenes. No Need For Reference Objects

Like all Artec 3D scanners, Leo uses powerful hybrid geometry and texture tracking, meaning you can just point to a piece and scan. Under normal circumstances, there is no need to glue the reference labels over here to the object (and again remove them after scanning)
